Pedallers,
Asheville on Bikes invites you to participate in all of our upcoming fall and winter events. Be sure to mark your calendars, RSVP with us on Facebook to stay updated.
Asheville’s vibrant bicycle culture continues to be more pronounced throughout the city. It’s your engagement that makes this possible. Participate in both the social and political actions to promote the transportation advancements we know are possible.
AoB is a rolling social engagement with the collective potential to make significant change in how we move about our city.
Ride your City
Step Right Up, A Multimodal City Council Candidates Forum

7pm – 9pm
Submit transportation questions to city council candidates before the forum at Get There Asheville’s website.
Attend the “Step Right Up” at the Asheville Design Center located at 8 College St, right across from Pritchard Park.
Pumpkin Pedaller
Saturday, Oct. 31th
5:30pm – 8pm
The ride begins at City County Plaza, just outside City Hall, and culminates in the parking lot of Clingman Café . The Melanaster Band’s Marley Carroll provides the musical entertainment for the evening. Entry to the event is $5. Wedge Brew and Clingman Café’s kitchen will be open.
As always, costumes are customary and prizes are present.
The ride isn’t strenuous, but there are a few short climbs so design your costume to be bike functional. Be well illuminated and wear your helmet.
ProBikes, Liberty Bikes, BioWheels, and Youngblood’s want you to be properly equipped for the ride. Save $2 on bike lights or a bell with the mention of AoB and the Pumpkin Pedaller.
Asheville Holiday Parade
Saturday, Nov. 21st
11am – 1pm
This year, AoB partners with the Blue Ridge Bicycle Club and Asheville CityTransit with the theme of “Riding High in the Clean Sky.” Our parade event highlights the connection between multimodal transportation networks and preserving one of our most valued local resources, our pristine mountain air.
AoB’s bicycle participants will be costumed as both clouds and the variety of townsfolk who make use of Asheville’s multimodal transportation system.
For more information please contact AoB’s Director of Arts and Volunteers, Rachel Reeser at ashevilleonbikes@gmail.com.
