The Asheville Bicycle and Pedestrian Task Force is conducting a bicycle and pedestrian count in and around Asheville this September as part of the National Bicycle and Pedestrian Documentation Project (http://bikepeddocumentation.org/). One of the challenges facing the bicycle and pedestrian field in promoting the inclusion of sidewalks, bike lanes and greenways as part of larger transportation projects is the lack of documentation on usage and demand. Come out and help the City of Asheville establish baseline data to further enhance promotion and investment in pedestrian and bicycle facilities.
