<p><strong>Route: </strong>11-mile out-and-back route along NC-251, traveling to the site of the crash before returning to town</p>



<p>Honor the lives of Lennie Antonello and Jake Hill on the first anniversary of their passing. This memorial ride is an opportunity for friends, family, and the broader cycling community to come together in remembrance of these deeply valued members of the riding community.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">About The White Line Foundation</h2>



<p>Participants are encouraged to consider donating to <a href="https://www.thewhiteline.org/pages/north-carolina-chapter" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The White Line Foundation</a>, an advocacy group working toward the goal of zero traffic fatalities. Maddie Barondeau and Griffin Tichenor organize on behalf of the North Carolina chapter. The organization prioritizes support for&nbsp; <a href="https://www.thewhiteline.org/pages/our-work-magnuswhite-cyclist-safety-act?srsltid=AfmBOorLgqINpyHtQD5i00Q_dnb2cWw9C69che1jTy2kCGxRmiu8xSSc" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Magnus White Cyclist Safety Act (H.R. 7353)</a> and uniting locals and statewide voices for road safety policy and reform. North Carolina’s roads are some of the most dangerous in the country for people outside of cars.&nbsp;</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What to Know Before You Go&nbsp;</h2>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Riders of all levels are welcome to join. The pace will be casual and conversational.</li>



<li>All participants should ride safely, follow traffic laws, and look out for one another.&nbsp;</li>



<li>The event is free to the public.</li>



<li>The organizers request that participants travel to Marshall to begin the ride rather than riding to the start. Carpool options will be available from <a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/RZpm6AN5Jkp714Mw6" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Gravelo Workshop</a> (793 Merrimon Ave) in Asheville. Please secure a parking pass from bike shop staff for your vehicle before carpooling to the event.</li>



<li>Additional parking at the start will be at Marshall High Studios (<a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/8rnLbueBUPepprZC7" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">115 Blannahassett Island Rd, Marshall, NC 28753</a>).</li>
