The Music

Meschiya Lake

Meschiya Lake is an American vocalist known for her diverse performances that incorporate traditional jazz, blues, and country music. Born in Oregon and raised in South Dakota, Lake began singing at nine and later moved to New Orleans in her early twenties. There, she performed with the Loose Marbles and formed Meschiya Lake and the Little Big Horns in 2009. Lake is recognized for her powerful vocal style and engaging stage presence, likened to 1920s jazz clubs. Her album Lucky Devil was an NPR Top Ten pick, and This is Meschiya Lake won a Danish Music Award in 2019. Lake also has a background in circus sideshow acts and co-reopened the New Orleans venue Chickie Wah Wah in 2021. She currently resides in Asheville, and you can find her performing around town at venues such as 5 Walnut Wine Bar, Highland Brewing, and Fitz and the Wolfe. Find her on Spotify.

Erika Lewis and Liliana Hudgens

Erika Lewis (Spotify) & Liliana Hudgens (Spotify) are Asheville-based singer-songwriters who have been collaborating musically for a long time. Together, the two perform mesmerizing harmonies, heartfelt lyrics, and danceable music to boot! Erika Lewis has been churning out American originals all her own for the past several years. From classic country to cosmic Americana to dreamy indie folk, Lewis continues to dip her toes more deeply into an ever-expanding pool of roots music styles. Liliana Hudgens provides a fresh take on Country-Folk revivalist sounds. Her music feels eternally relatable, tapping into tradition to create work that is totally unique and completely her own.

Bosko Baker

Bosko Baker is a roots musician blending American music — country blues, ragtime, folk, swing — into what he calls “street swing” or “bozo blues.” Drawing inspiration from legends like Doc Watson, Merle Travis, Big Bill Broonzy, Blind Blake, Jimmie Rodgers, and Mississippi John Hurt, his music combines raw energy with timeless tradition.

With a spontaneous stage presence honed from years of busking, Bosko’s shows are where his music truly comes to life — an infectious mix of blues, swing, and folk that speaks to the heart of American roots music. From festival stages to intimate venues, his dynamic blend of storytelling, finger-picking guitar, and a deep respect for tradition makes every show a unique & foot-stomping experience that has gained him a loyal following.
