2026 Primary Election Information
Election Day: Tuesday, March 3, 2026
Key Dates:
- Voter Registration Deadline: February 6, 2026 at 5 p.m.
- Early Voting: February 12-28, 2026
- Absentee Ballot Request Deadline: February 17, 2026 at 5 p.m.
Early Voting Locations:
Early voting is available at 11 locations across Buncombe County, including:
- Black Mountain Library
- East Asheville Library
- Enka-Candler Library
- Fairview Library
- Leicester Community Center
- North Asheville Library
- South Buncombe Library
- Upper Hominy Fire Station
- Weaverville Community Center
- Wesley Grant Southside Center
- West Asheville Library
Most sites open at 8:00 am and close at 7:30 pm during early voting. View the full Early Voting Schedule.
Important Reminders:
- Photo ID required for all in-person voting
- Same-day registration available during early voting
- Curbside voting available for those unable to enter polling locations
