Volunteers are the lifeblood of our day-to-day operations, after-school cycling programs, and legendary events. Plus, volunteering with AoB is fun–you get to ride your bike, meet new friends, and free food and beer are often involved!

Cane Creek Cycling Components

We are seeking volunteers for 2-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday to provide beverage service and work with AoB coaches to staff our pop-up bike park at this inaugural southeast bicycle and gear show.

Beverage Service: AoB is coordinating with Burial to sell beverages during the event. Servers must be 21+. One volunteer during each 2-hour shift will be responsible for checking IDs and distributing wristbands for attendees.

Bike Park: AoB is hosting a pop-up bike park for younger participants at the bike show on Saturday. Volunteers will set up, manage and break down the course. The early shift (9-11AM) includes setting up the course, and the last shift (3-5PM) includes breakdown and loading of the bike park. Volunteers will work with AoB coaches to ensure that participants are wearing helmets, following the course in the correct direction and leaving adequate space between participants, and supporting participants through the obstacles.

Tour De Fat, Saturday, October 3, 12PM – 7PM
New Belgium Brewing, 21 Craven St

We’re looking for volunteers for shifts starting Friday, October 2nd through the main event on Saturday. Each 2-hour volunteer shift includes a post-shift New Belgium beverage, and your support directly funds youth cycling programs, safer streets, and natural surface trails.

There are many ways to support rolling the Pumpkin Pedaller forward, and we appreciate your support!

Volunteer shifts listed include: Setup, Bike Park, Kiosk, and Pedal Patrol.

Setup: Help AoB staff set up the event space.

AoB Kiosk: Accept donations, answer questions, sell merchandise, and activate Ride With GPS accounts.

Bike Park: Set up and manage the course. Volunteers will work with AoB coaches to ensure that participants are wearing helmets, following the course in the correct direction and leaving adequate space between participants, and supporting participants through the obstacles.

Pedal Patrol: Join riders out on the course and cheer them on, marking an important turn to ensure riders are safe and on the right track.

Shifts are listed in 2 hour increments. If you’re willing and able to support more than one shift, please sign up for as many as you’d like, and then send this form to a friend!
