The annual event back this year on Sept 21 from 4-9pm!

Celebrate Asheville’s vibrant cycling culture at the annual I9-IPA beer release, a collaboration between I9 and Asheville Brewing Company in support of the AVL Unpaved initiative. This exciting event brings together bike lovers, beer enthusiasts, and community supporters to raise funds for AVL Unpaved, which enhances off-road biking trails across the area. All proceeds from the event and beer sales directly support this important project.

Asheville is a city built on collaboration, and this event exemplifies that spirit. I9 and Asheville Brewing Company unite their talents to brew an incredible beer, while AoB, Connect Buncombe, and Pisgah Area SORBA work together to improve our trails through the AVL Unpaved initiative.

Event Schedule

4pm: Doors Open 

4pm-7pm: Pop-Up Bike Park w/ Kid Cycle Club & Inflatable Obstacle Course 

4pm-8pm: Let the Cargo – Local cargo bike owners showcase their rides. People who are interested in cargo bikes learn from local riders. 

7pm-8pm: Newspaper Route – This event hearkens back to the days of delivering newspapers by bicycle. Participants are challenged to ride the course and deliver their papers with accuracy.   

7pm-9pm: Jump Line – The adult swim version of the pop-up bike park. 

8pm-9pm:  Keg Pull – This is an I9 / Asheville Brewing collaboration of another sort. Participants are challenged to pull a keg by bike.
