
Position: Program Coordinator
Location: Asheville, NC
Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week)

Overview:
Asheville on Bikes is seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as a Part-Time Program Coordinator. This role will support our mission to improve bicycle education, advocacy, and community in Asheville, NC. The ideal candidate will excel in event planning, donor and database management, and social media coordination, while providing essential administrative support to our growing non-profit.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Event Coordination:
- Plan and manage the yearly suite of events in collaboration with the Events Committee and Executive Director.
- Serve as the point person during events, ensuring smooth execution and coordination.
- Seasonal planning and leading up to events, particularly intensive during the spring event season.
- Serve as the point person for event volunteer recruitment
2. Administrative Support:
- Maintain organization’s calendar and manage general AOB email account.
- Forward, respond to, and triage emails, ensuring critical messages are directed to the appropriate person.
- Provide administrative support by attending meetings and reports, organizing documents and maintaining records.
3. Social Media Management:
- Update Facebook and Instagram daily with engaging and relevant content.
- Collaborate with team members to improve social media presence and outreach.
- Actively research and implement best practices from other active transportation organizations to enhance our online presence.
4. Donor & Membership Management (Little Green Light Platform):
- Utilize the Little Green Light donor management software to track and manage donor and member information.
- Coordinate with key volunteers and the Development Committee to optimize the use of donor management tools.
- Plan and execute membership and donor specific events

Qualifications:
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using various digital tools and an eagerness to learn new software; familiarity with Little Green Light is a plus but not required.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks efficiently.
- Event Management Experience: Previous experience in organizing and managing events.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Social Media Savvy: Experience in managing social media accounts for organizations.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in all administrative tasks and donor management.

Compensation:
This is a part-time, hourly position paying $25.00 per hour. Weekly hours may vary based on organizational needs and employee availability. Evening and weekend hours will occasionally be required to support events and programs.
We strive to offer flexible scheduling whenever possible to accommodate other commitments.
Please note: This position does not currently include benefits. However, there may be opportunities for increased responsibilities and pay based on performance and organizational growth.
